I’ve seen a lot of beautiful places, but few hit me the way Seville did. Maybe it was the golden light reflecting off Moorish tiles. Maybe it was the sound of flamenco echoing through cobbled streets. Maybe it was the fact that every corner smelled like orange blossoms.
If you're planning a spring escape in 2025, let me show you why Seville should be on your radar — and in your heart.
📍Day 1: Old Town Wandering & Rooftop Sunsets
I landed just as Seville hit that perfect springtime sweet spot — sunny, 24°C (75°F), and dry. Dropped my bags in a charming little guesthouse in Santa Cruz and walked straight into a postcard.
The streets twisted like a maze, full of whitewashed walls and bursts of bougainvillea. I found a rooftop bar near La Giralda and watched the sun set behind the cathedral with a glass of sangria in hand. Magic.
📝 Tip: Book a rooftop dinner at “El Mirador de Sevilla” for a panoramic city view.
📍Day 2: Flamenco, Tiles & Tapas Hopping
Started my day at the Real Alcázar, which honestly looks like something out of Game of Thrones (and parts were actually filmed there). The architecture is insane — think Islamic arches, intricate tilework, and royal gardens buzzing with birds.
That night, I caught a flamenco performance in a tiny tablao in Triana. It was raw and powerful and made my spine tingle.
Dinner? Tapas crawl. Fried eggplant with honey, jamón ibérico, spicy patatas bravas… I may or may not have eaten 6 small plates solo.
📝 Tip: Try Bodega Santa Cruz for authentic, budget-friendly tapas right in the center.
📍Day 3: Feria Prep & Maria Luisa Park Strolls
Seville was already buzzing with prep for Feria de Abril — the city’s biggest party. Locals were trying on flamenca dresses, horses clip-clopped through the streets, and tents were being built by the river.
I rented a bike and explored Parque de María Luisa, filled with fountains, shaded paths, and wild parrots. Then wandered into Plaza de España, hands down one of the most beautiful spots in Europe.
📝 Tip: You don’t need to be there during Feria to enjoy the energy — the buildup is just as exciting.
📍Day 4: River Views & One Last Churro
On my last day, I took it slow. Walked along the Guadalquivir River, crossed the bridge into Triana again, and grabbed a seat at Bar El Faro for a strong café con leche and churros dipped in thick chocolate.
The breeze was warm, music played from someone’s window, and time kind of stood still for a second.
💡 What I’d Tell a Friend:
-
Best time to go? April–May. Perfect weather, pre-summer crowds, and orange blossoms.
-
Affordable? Absolutely. I averaged around €60/day with food, local transport, and entrance fees.
-
Romantic? Extremely. Bring someone — or fall in love with the city itself.
